Obama and the First Dog

November 8th, 2008 by Bella | Filed under Dog News

On election night, November 4th, 2008, Barack Obama promised his daughter a dog for the White House. This has become big news in the early days of the President Elects new job.

At his first press conference, Obama said “Our preference is to get a shelter dog, but most shelter dogs are mutts like me.” reffering to the fact that his daughter is allergic to dogs and he would be getting her a ‘hypoallergenic breed’.

This news topic has become wildly popular, with two wars in the process and a tanking economy, what do the American People (and their dogs) want to know about? The First Dog.

We hope that if the First Dog is not a shelter dog, it is selected from a rescue group that deals with breads that fit into the ‘hypoallergenic’ category. If President Elect Obama needs any help finding one, he is free to contact us or select us to his Cabinet as the newly created Secretary of Canine Affairs
